What you need to know before the event

Startup Summit Kuopio brings together startups, growth companies, founders, investors, experts, students and regional research, development and business service organisations.

Please make sure your exhibition stand is ready by 11:30.

The event area must be ready when the doors open to participants at 12:00. Each exhibitor is responsible for setting up, staffing and taking down their own stand.

Who attends?

The audience consists of people and organisations interested in building, funding, supporting and developing new business in Eastern Finland and beyond.

Your exhibitor stand

Each exhibitor will have a dedicated stand area. The exact location and stand-specific details will be confirmed closer to the event.

Keep it simple

This is not a heavy trade fair build. Please bring materials that are light, easy to move and quick to set up.

Exhibitors are responsible for their own materials, setup, stand staffing, contact collection and teardown after the event.

Exhibitor schedule

Please plan your arrival, setup and staffing according to the schedule below.

10:00-11:30

Setup and preparation

Preliminary setup window for exhibitors. Please arrive early enough to prepare your stand without rushing.

11:30

Stands must be ready

All exhibition stands should be fully set up and ready by 11:30.

12:00

Doors open

Participants arrive, registration opens and the event begins.

12:00-17:30

Event programme

The day includes keynote sessions, startup pitches, partner spotlights, guided networking and a panel discussion.

17:30-18:30

Teardown

Exhibition stands can be taken down after the official programme has ended. Please do not dismantle your stand before the event ends unless separately agreed with the organiser.

Materials, electricity and contacts

A few practical points to help you prepare a useful, clean and easy-to-run stand.

Electricity, tech and Wi-Fi

If you need electricity at your stand, please inform the organiser as soon as possible and no later than Friday 7 August 2026.

  • Bring your own extension cord if you use a screen, laptop or other device.
  • Wi-Fi instructions will be confirmed closer to the event.
  • If you are using demos, please test them in advance.

Recommended materials

You can bring simple materials that help participants understand who you are and what you do.

  • Roll-up
  • Brochures, flyers or business cards
  • Small giveaways or stickers
  • Small sweets or snacks, if allergens are clearly visible
  • Demos, prototypes or products
  • Laptop or tablet for presenting your work

Collecting contacts

Each exhibitor is responsible for the contacts they collect, personal data processing and any required consent under applicable data protection legislation.

Coffee and networking

The programme includes a coffee break and networking. These moments are often especially valuable for exhibitors, so we recommend having someone at your stand during the start of the event, breaks and networking sessions.
